MY NEW YEARS RESOLUTION FREE ZONE

Happy New Year Everyone,

I do hope that you have all had a lovely and joy-filled Christmas! I am so grateful, to have so many new followers over here at Hip Brown Home of late – please do feel free to say hi because I would absolutely love to know more about you. Thankyou Houzz for introducing me to you all! Speaking of Houzz, I am guest posting over there today; I wrote a piece about 5 Easy Ways to Make a Wall Vignette. I would love for you to check it out!

I find the 1st of January (New Year’s Day) to be a very philosophical sort of day… do you find it that way too? You naturally think about the year that’s just flown on by and there is all sorts of pressure to set goals, bucket lists and New Year resolutions. Have you made any New Year resolutions for the year ahead?

Between you and I, I am totally resisting the pressure; I truthfully just want to drag the holidays season out for a little while longer but I guess that’s kind of New Year’s resolution in itself!

I spotted the above image over at Collective Hub (my go to magazine for instant kick-up the bottom, type inspiration), I liked this goal especially because its more or less about living in the present and choosing to be happy. It’s a very positive and open ended sort of goal with very little to do with expectations or feeling / being pressured. This could potentially be my goal if I was going to have one :-).

I shall leave you with a few snaps I took from our mini Xmas vacation…. we spent Christmas with my brother on the Mid-North Coast of NSW, it is a lovely beach-y area called South West Rocks. He has a small farm and it is very beautiful and relaxing there.

Happy New Year, I hope it is a wonderful one for you and your families!
