I had the pleasure of being invited along to the opening of Showroom last Wednesday evening. Showroom can be found at 135 Latrobe Terrace in Paddington, Brisbane. I do love it when creativity blossoms in our Brisvegas town – it’s rather infectious, it inspires me and reminds me that anything is possible if you are willing to make it happen! The concept is the brainwave of Catherine Roberts (The Spring blog and shop) and Carolyn De Lore (Wilde Flora). It is a space where successful online stores and their products can come together to show off their wares in the reals. It is unique because it is a modern and flexible platform for retailers to sell and whilst it is early days yet Showroom could easily be franchised to other states too – absolutely no pressure offcourse girls ;-0!
As customers, we will have the opportunity to view an ever changing- collection of products in a ongoing- pop up store style fashion. Right now, you can catch Wilde Flora, The Spring Shop, The Third Row, West End Table Craft, Auburn & Green, SWOP visiting Showroom. I particularly love that you can find gorgeous greenery and beautiful wares in a one stop shop! They also invite stylists and bloggers to style and curate areas of their shop – pick me, pick me, just saying :).
They will also hold regular workshops– their first two being just in time for Mother’s Day with Flower Arranging and a Terrarium Workshop with Carolyn De Lore. A date and gift for mum perhaps?? Naked Cake Decorating with Gillian Bell is also scheduled for Sunday May 18. Showroom is housed in a beautiful Queenslander – with gorgeous natural light- the perfect kind of space for treasures and new skills to be learned and found.
