So, this is how it looks when Pottery Barn, West Elm and Pottery Barn – Kids opens on Wandoo St in Fortitude Valley, Brisbane. Just so you know, Wandoo Street is every bit as fabulous as it sounds therefore it’s so very fitting that West Elm and PB snapped up this particular location.

As you can see, Queenslanders get a little excited about good things happening in their city… We’re definitely a friendly bunch at heart and like to celebrate an important occasion when we’re given the opportunity!

How gorgeous are the bright coloured – tones of these Silk Hand-Loomed Cushion Covers from West Elm. The bright vases (seen above) are 1950’s and 60’s inspired and are a lovely twist on a mid – century – style classic… don’t you think??

POtteryBarn9These Geo Patterns in neutrals look great too.

I also loved the plant life (seen above), so, so down my style – alley.

POtteryBarn2I was quite smitten by this Elton Setee (seen above). Actually I was super impressed by West Elms and Pottery Barns sofa range in general. It’s very fine lined furniture, which is timeless and the perfect style to help blend new and old wares through the seasons. They’re also really feminine and elegant looking sofas… I don’t think you could go wrong with their current range!

POtteryBarn5As you would expect, I saw an array of beautiful bed – linen.POtteryBarn6_1Just between you and I so wanted to jump in this gorgeous looking bed but I was trying to be a well – behaved media member!

The texture of this organic bed linen felt every bit as soft as it looks to be.

I found the visual merchandising to be simply stunning for all three brands; you can easily get a little lost in the visual goodness of a store like this… just make sure that you don’t need to be any where in a hurry!

This dinner set is by Pottery Barn – it is called Cambria Dinnerware… they come in really great tones and are so beautifully crafted. Do you own a set already?

I also loved these beads & vase combo’s found at Pottery Barn… honestly, it’s the simple things that move me. I think they would also add beautiful – homely touches to a room! Would you agree?

2015_03_062Look our red carpet queue even turned a corner… all waiting to see Brisbane’s very own West Elm, Pottery Barn and PB – Kids and to hear wise, gorgeous words from Kara Rosenlund about creating – goodness for the home. I personally loved how Pottery Barn involved our local talent in creating this store and making the opening a lovely event. If you happen to visit, I do recommend that you check out the tiled store-counter, each tile was handcrafted and beautifully worded by Kylie from Paperboatpress. I thought such lovely touches for this store to become an important part of our big, Brisbane city – village!

There really was such a lovely buzz in the air and I simply wanted to share it with you all.
